We welcome volunteers at LFAS! Our volunteers are integral to our mission and are crucial to running the sanctuary. Can you help clean stalls? (A big part of running a sanctuary is keeping the animal areas clean) Chop vegetables? Feed our pigs? Cuddle a turkey? If you are not physically able to help with farm chores please let us know other ways you would like to help. Volunteering is fun and gratifying. Plus, you get to meet like-minded folks! If you’re interested, please fill out the application below and we will get back to you.
We look forward to hearing from you!
All volunteer applicants must attend an orientation. At this orientation we will give an overview of our volunteer activities and you will meet most of our rescued animals.
Volunteers must commit to at least one to two shifts a week for a period of at least three months.
We prefer volunteers to be vegan…or interested in transitioning to a vegan lifestyle since you will be handling animals rescued from the “food” industry.
