We welcome volunteers at LFAS! Our volunteers are integral to our mission and are crucial to running the sanctuary. Can you help clean stalls or coops? (A big part of running a sanctuary is keeping the animal areas clean) Chop vegetables? Feed our animals? Give belly rubs to our pigs! Socialize with our sheep? If you are not physically able to help with farm chores tell us other ways you would like to help. For example, are you adept with computers? Can you help with events? Do you have marketing ideas? Volunteering is fun and gratifying. Plus, you get to meet like-minded folks! If you’re interested, please fill out the application below and we will get back to you.

We look forward to hearing from you!

  • All volunteer applicants attend a short orientation. At this orientation we will give an overview of our volunteer activities and you will meet most of our rescued animals.

  • Volunteers must commit to at least one to two shifts a week for a period of at least three months.

  • We prefer volunteers to be vegan…or interested in transitioning to a vegan lifestyle…since you will be handling animals saved from the Animal Agriculture industry. But being vegan is not a requirement because we think of you as “future vegans!”
